500+ People Attend Sen. Jeff Jackson’s Mecklenburg County Town Hall
“I feel like he’s representing me and he’s listening to me … not just me, but to everybody in the state”
Charlotte – More than 500 North Carolinians joined Jeff Jackson in his home county of Mecklenburg for a town hall on Thursday evening. The Charlotte town hall was stop #74 on Jackson’s effort to hold 100 town halls in 100 days in every county in North Carolina.
One supporter told Spectrum News, “I’ve learned so much from listening to him go to all 100 counties. Things that I never knew. So I feel like he’s representing me and he’s listening to me And he’s listening, not just to me, but to everybody in the state.”
Jackson has continued to set a blistering pace with his “wholly different kind of campaign.” Since the launch of his 100 in 100 effort on May 22nd, Jackson has been greeted by large crowds across North Carolina, including in many rural areas in the far eastern and western parts of the state.
Jackson has the largest grassroots fundraising support of any candidate in the race and has continued to run the most transparent and substantive campaign possible.
“There’s no place like home. It was great to have so many folks out on such a hot day in Charlotte,” said Sen. Jeff Jackson. “This is the type of energy we’re seeing on the ground as we travel across the state, and it’s what we’ll need to flip this seat. I’m so proud of the support we’ve built from Charlotte to Cherokee to Pasquotank, and our work isn’t done yet.”
The tour continues this weekend with stops in Warren, Caswell, Durham, Person, Orange, Nash, and Franklin counties. Future tour dates for Sen Jackson’s 100 in 100 effort can be found at jeffjacksonnc.com/100townhalls100days.
